Emmy-nominated actor Ed Begley Jr. will be joining us on Friday morning for the keynote breakfast brought to you by Forager Project.
Ed Begley Jr. is one incredibly fascinating guy. He’s possibly Hollywood’s greenest personality and recognizable for over 200 movies and sitcoms over the years. He’s remodeled his home to include all the most sustainable materials and had quite the experience filming it. He can be spotted around town on his bike, including the local Whole Foods where one of our own community members recently spotted him. He also supports our mission of removing endocrine disrupting chemicals from the environment and from the products and food our families consume.
Ed’s extensive acting resume includes classics such as This Is Spinal Tap, and St. Elsewhere; cult-favorite Christopher Guest movies like Best In Show, A Mighty Wind and Mascots; numerous TV appearances and recurring roles in shows like 7th Heaven, Providence, Six Feet Under, Star Trek, Veronica Mars, CSI: Miami, Arrested Development, Portlandia, Better Call Saul, and more.

In addition to acting, directing, and producing, Mr. Begley has been an environmental leader for many years. He serves on the boards of The Coalition For Clean Air, The Thoreau Institute, and the advisory board of the Union Of Concerned Scientists, and currently lives in a self-sufficient solar-powered home. When he does drive a car, he uses an electric one.
Ed’s work in the environmental community has earned him a number of awards from some of the most prestigious environmental groups in the nation, including the California League of Conservation Voters, the Natural Resources Defense Council, The Coalition for Clean Air, Heal the Bay, Santa Monica Baykeeper, and the Cesar E. Chavez Foundation.
