Do you know an influencer who is worthy of some praise? Do you know someone who best represents our niche and what we believe? We have something very special in store for this year during our ShiftCon! ShiftCon Social Media Conference is having their first annual ShiftCon Shifters Award Ceremony recognizing influencers, brands and nonprofits that have contributed amazing things to our community. And what we wanted to do was find out from you who you are most proud of. And in order to do that we are asking YOU to nominate your peers for different categories, then the ShiftCon board will meet and determine finalists, and finally a vote on the finalists will determine the winners. And on Saturday, February 3rd during our reception, winners will be announced, recognized and given trophies.

ShiftCon Shifters Award Categories
ShiftCon Award categories were voted upon by the community in early May. Seventy-five people from our private ShiftCon Facebook group chimed in with their favorite categories and then later voted on their favorites. We pulled the top fifteen categories to represent the awards. We are proud to announce our first ShiftCon Shifters Award Categories:

How to Nominate Influencers, Brands and Nonprofits
Deadline for nominations are August 15th. In order to nominate someone scroll down and fill out the widget below. After you sign up, you can share about the nomination process if you so desire. You don’t have to contribute to all the nomination categories, but we hope that you can contribute as much as possible.
Special Rules and Process of Shifters Award Ceremony
In order to ensure this process is sourced from the community, some rules are guiding the process that ensure this is done with fairness. We need to ensure nominations are from real people and voting is done by community members only.
- This process is a nomination of peers. Therefore, you can’t nominate yourself. You must be nominated by other influencers. We will monitor the nominations to ensure that is happening.
- You are allowed to campaign for nominations, but please be nice because anyone who shows unsportsmanlike behavior will be automatically disqualified. Nominations end August 15th.
- You MUST be present at ShiftCon to be a Finalist in the Awards ceremony. If you are not there, you will be automatically disqualified from winning.
- Only attendees with ShiftCon Elite OR Influencer passes will be able to vote on the Finalists and determine the winners. So please make sure you get your ticket before January 1st in order to be qualified to vote.
- If you decide to nominate someone, you will be given a discount of $75 off an Influencer OR Elite pass as a thank you. Please email Leah Segedie at leah at bookieboo dot com if you desire a discount. If you are interested in casting a vote for the winners, please ensure to purchase your pass before January 1st.
- The ShiftCon Board will decide the Finalists for each category. Announcements will happen in November.
- Voting will happen in January but results will not be announced till February 3rd during the awards ceremony.
What Do Finalists Receive?
Finalists will be decided upon by the ShiftCon Board and voting will commence in January. All finalists must be attendees at ShiftCon Social Media Conference in order to be qualified to win. Finalists will receive the following:
- Free ShiftCon Elite pass (passes will be refunded if you already purchased one)
- Special VIP swag bag from our sponsors
- Invitation to a special dinner with our sponsors on Friday, February 2nd
- Invitation to join our affiliate program
- Promotion on social media by ShiftCon
- Inclusion in a post on ShiftConMedia.com
What do Winners Receive?
Winners of the ShiftCon Shifters Award Ceremony will represent the best of our class at ShiftCon. Not only will they receive recognition from their peers, by they will receive a trophy made from sustainable materials, and accolades on ShiftConMedia.com. Winners will also receive the following:

- Pictures on stage accepting your trophy

We are hoping this year will start a trend of recognizing our peers for what they have done in our space. But it’s important to remember that we have ALL contributed in one way or another.
