Born and raised in Chicago’s Robert Taylor Projects, Tasha is familiar with the disparities of not having grocery stores in the community and having to eat the things that were in the budget. As a plant based eater for over a decade, Tasha is not only a personal trainer, yoga and Pilates instructor and a wellness coach but she has worked in low income neighborhoods facing health crises and was the director for the Tennesssee State University Nutrition Education Program where she worked with those on public assistance to build healthier lives on a budget. She currently lives in Madison, AL and is actively engaged in the dialogue and actions that are coming from it to address systemic racism and how it can relate to the very food we eat.
