Marielle Hewitt has been bison ranching since her father, Lee Graese, brought his first two bison home to his new hobby farm in 1994. She was a tender age of 4 years. Her childhood education was tailored greatly to incorporate this hunger to learn more. The more she learned, she began to think deeper and therefore dig deeper. The ranch named, Northstar Bison, grew due to overwhelming customer demand and has become a fully vertically integrated business adopting a gate to plate model.
Marielle, now 31yrs old, has traveled US and Canada taking many ranch workshops and schools. Marielle now finds herself speaking at several engagements throughout the year and also judging many bison shows and sales in US and Canada. In between her ranching career and travels she is now raising the 3rd generation on the ranch alongside her husband, Brett.
