
Kristin Fuhrmann-Simmons is a lover of all-things-food. She is both serious and hilarious - sometimes at the same time. Armed with a Master’s Degree in Social Work and training as a pastry chef, Kristin is known for her down-to-earth teaching style and passion for storytelling and media training.
Kristin worked as a food columnist with the Dow Jones from 2008-2012, covering the
culinary scene of New England. She is a faculty member of the University of Southern Maine and teaches Culinary Tourism and Food & Culture in the Tourism & Hospitality department.
Kristin runs her own digital consulting group, specializing in Food & Lifestyle Brands. She crafts engaging stories and strategies for print and digital platforms. Her clients include a rich range of companies, from chefs and restaurants, to car dealerships, banks and the New Hampshire Liquor Commission.
Kristin’s current work can be seen in New Worlder, AAA Horizons, The Latin Kitchen, Yankee Publications, Celebrate New Hampshire Magazine, Food Network Magazine, Seacoast Newspapers, The Matador Network & The Belize Tourism Board.
