Harriet is the Executive Director of Climatemama, an on-line community that reaches individuals in over 110 countries and all 50 states. Harriet’s writing, speaking and organizing, empowers and supports individuals and groups around the country to take collective action on climate solutions. Harriet is a leader and mentor with The Climate Reality Project, she is featured in Mr. Gore’s 2017 book “An Inconvenient Sequel, Truth to Power” and is the recipient of a 2017 “Green Ring Award” presented “to an outstanding Climate Reality Leader who has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to their role as a climate communicator and activist.” Harriet has worked for more than 25 years in Canada and in the United States with governments, international and national organizations, and educational institutions on climate and sustainability issues as an economist, policy analyst, board member, educator and adjunct professor. Harriet has been featured in a wide range of national and local media outlets including MSNBC, Christian Science Monitor, Lifetime TV, Huffington Post, Asbury Park Press and the UN Foundation. Harriet is recognized nationally as an “influencer and connector” in the climate movement.
