10 Reasons to go to ShiftCon 2019!
Hey Shifters!
I’m so excited to hang with you all in New Orleans (December 1-3, 2016 MARK CALENDARS!) !!!
This community is changing our supermarket, laws, homes and communities one influencer at a time. ShiftCon was organized as a way for wellness and green-minded influencers to connect. It’s about us lifting each other up in support,learning from one another and then taking on the world when we get home. It’s about finding that place where you are meaningful and accepted as who you are. And it’s about supporting the brands that are making a better future for us all.
But with any movement, we need soldiers to guide us on a path. This is where we are reaching out to you. During our welcome ceremony on Thursday night, December 1st, we will be breaking up into groups and getting to know each other intimately. The purpose behind this is to welcome and support each person in the room and allow those of you who are of a more reserved nature a good excuse to connect as well. So we need leaders!
Last year we broke groups up by themes and we may do that this year as well depending if we have enough niches. We play games and network with intention so everyone gets a chance to make friends. This is so important for opening night to set a friendly and welcoming tone for the event.
ShiftCon is Seeking Group Leaders
We will need between 10-15 volunteers to lead discussions and help foster a sense of community the very first night. But these volunteers must be very special. They need to be a mentor at heart–someone who truly cares about what we are doing and really wants to welcome new people while helping the older ones feel like they have a home as well. This volunteers MUST be influencers who have been around for some time as well.
Group Leaders are Welcome to the Private Wednesday Night Reception
We host a special reception the day before ShiftCon with the sponsors. All group leaders will be invited to this special reception where they will have the opportunity to network with our sponsors intimately. This is optional opportunity.
Group Leaders Have a Special Meeting Thursday Morning
We need group leaders to get here just a big early to meet with us. It’s important to set a tone for the event, get into the right frame of mind, and go over logistics for Thursday night. We haven’t decided upon a time, but it may be good for you to get in just a bit early for this.
